Work Experience

    • Mapped and conducted research on midwives and obstetricians in 19th century Cincinnati

    • Presented research at the museum’s Three Acts in OTR lecture series

    • Leading public and private guided tours on the museum’s history, architecture, collection, and exhibitions.

    • Performing customer service duties at the admissions desk, museum store, and on the museum floor.

    • Processed and documented the museum’s collection of medical journals and medical related books.

    • Practiced safe document and artifact handling in line with industry standards.

    • Assisted in the curation of the museum’s collection, conducting research on new acquisitions.

    • Performed customer service duties at check in and throughout the museum.

    • Leading public guided tours throughout the House of the Temple on the history of Freemasonry, the Scottish Rite, and the building itself.

    • Taught guests about the architecture, art, symbolism, and uses of each room in the House of the Temple.

Public History Portfolio

    • For the Over-The-Rhine Museum

    • Included midwife fact-sheet, map of midwife residences, maps of midwife births, and a list of biographies for midwives working in 19th century Cincinnati

    • Amended nomination to account for renovations to the building and a second architect who was not mentioned in the original documentation.

    • Presented to the Driehaus Museum

    • Exhibit discussed Gilded Age food culture and how what one ate was often determined by their class.

    • With Charlie Chmeilewski, Michael Connolly, Lindsey Meza, and Anna Wilmhoff

    • Proposed to the Rogers Park West Ridge Historical Society

    • Walking tour which discussed the history of theatre in Rogers Park and the ways in which it has been affected by urban development and gentrification.

    • Presented to the Museum of Motherhood

    • Exhibit discussed racial disparities in childbirth and gynecological care throughout history
